Biography
He flew for a non-scheduled airline in the Western Arctic before his naval service. Afterwards he served with the Canada Department of Transport as a Civil Aviation Inspector 1966-1976. Then he operated a retail business on Saltspring Island BC 1976-1995.

(Short Service Appointment 25/08/1954). He was appointed as a Midshipman (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 25/08/1954). He served in HMCS Cornwallis for #8 Junior Air Officer Basic Training Course 1954. He served in HMCS Quebec for Sea Training 1955. He served in HMCS Shearwater for VT-40 Squadron for Flying Training 1955, Awarded Wings 1955. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 30/08/1956). He served in HMCS Shearwater for VS-880 Squadron 1956. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 30/08/1956). He served in HMCS Shearwater for Duty With VT-40 Squadron 1955. He served in HMCS Shearwater for Duty With VS-881 Squadron 1956. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 15/02/1958). He served in HMCS Bonaventure for VS-880 Squadron. He served in HMCS Sheawater for VX-10 Squadron 1959. He served in HMCS Niobe For Training With RN in Tracker Simulator 1959. (Selected for permanent commission). He served in HMCS Stadacona for Junior Officer Technical and Leadership Courses. He served in HMCS Inch Arran. He served in HMCS Iroquois as Communications Officer. He served in HMCS Algonquin as Navigating and Operations Officer. He served in HMCS Bras d"Or as Executive Officer. (He resigned 1966.)
