Military Service

He was appointed as a Probationary Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 01/07/1941). In 1941 he served in the London Division RCNVR). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR 1942. In 1942 he served in HMCS Gaspe. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 22/12/1942) (Later backdated to 1941). In 1943 he served in HMCS Montreal. In 1945 he served in HMCS Stadacona for Short Torpedo Course. (He was demobilized.) He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCN(R). He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCN(R) (With seniority dated 22/12/1949).He served in HMCS Stadacona on the Training staff (East Coast) of the University Naval Training Division (UNTD) 1954. (He was released.) (He was qualified with a Watchkeeping Certificate.)
