She was married to Al Peters. She was a Professional Engineer in her civilian life.

In 1976 she served in CFB Halifax (billeted at St. Mary's University). In 1976 she was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (NR). She was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (NR). She was appointed as a Lieutenant (NR). She was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (NR). (She was released.)
