He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1964). He served in HMCS Chippawa. He served in HMCS Venture (Officer Training Establishment). He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 03/07/1966). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 03/07/1966). He was appointed as a Captain (PLT) (With seniority dated 03/09/1969). He served in VS-880 Squadron 1965-68. (He was retired.)

Aircraft Flown	He successfully ditched a Tracker aircraft south of Bermuda at night. All crew escaped without injury.
