He was appointed as a Probationary Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 22/12/1941). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR. He served in HMC LCI (L) 117 (In command) 260th Landing Craft Infantry (Large) Flotilla for Operation Neptune 1944. (He was demobilized.)
