Biography
After his naval service he served with the Canadian Coast Guard.

 

Military Service

He was appointed as a Probationary Sub-Lieutenant RCNVR (With seniority dated 07/07/1943). He served in HMCS Kings (Officer Training Establishment) 1943. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 07/07/1943). In 1943 he served in HMC ML-Q078. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 24/05/1944). In 1944 he served in HMC ML-Q076. In 1944 he served in HMC ML-Q078. In 1944 he served in HMC ML-057. In 1944 he served in HMCS Venture as Additional. In 1944 heserved in hMCS Cobalt. In 1945 he served in HMCS St. Hyacinthe. (He was demobilized) He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCN(R) on the retired list. (Transferred to RCN on Short Service Appointment). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 24/05/1944). In 1951 he served in HMCS Revelstoke. In 1952 he served in HMCS Shearwater. In 1952 he served in HMCS Stadacona for Junior Officer Technical and Leadership Courses. He served in HMCS Cornwallis 1953. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 25/05/1955). (He was selected for permanent commission). He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCN (With seniority dated 25/05/1955). He served in HMCS Chignecto (III) (In command) 1958. In 1959 he served in HMCS Cornwallis as Assistant New Entry Training Officer. In 1961 he served in HMCS Scotian as Area Sea Cadet Officer and as Appointed ROTP and UNTD Training Officer. He served in HMCS Cape Scott as Executive Officer (for the METEI Expedition) 1965. In 1965 he was appointed to HMCS Scotian. (He was released 1967.) (He was qualified with a Watchkeeping Certificate.)
