Military Service

He was appointed as a Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 18/08/1942 later backdated to 1941). In 1944 he served in HMCS Niagara. (He was demobilized.) He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/01/1948). In 1948 he served in HMCS Griffon. In 1958 he served in HMCS Chippawa as Commanding Officer (UNTD) (University of Manitoba). He was appointed as a Commander RCN(R). (He was released.) (He was qualified with a Watchkeeping Certificate.) (He was qualified for torpedo duties.)
