He was appointed as Assistant Deputy Minister, Department of Natural Resources 1996-1998. He was appointed as Assistant Secretary to the Treasury Board for Government Operations 1998-2000. He was appointed as Deputy Clerk, Counsel and Security and Intelligence Coordinator, Privy Council Office 2000-2002. He was appointed as President of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency 2002-2005. He was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Citizenship and Immigration Canada from 2006 to 2009. He was appointed as the Director of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service 2009. |
