He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman (Officer Candidate UNTD) RCNVR 1943. In 1943-1945 he served in HMCS York for UNTD. (He was demobilized.) |

He played during the 1945 season for the Toronto Argonauts. In 1959 he was made an Honorary Citizen of Cornwall, ON "in recognition of his pioneering work in Child Welfare and Juvenile and Family Court and his work with children while a member of Cornwall's Recreation Commission." In 1960-1968 he was appointed as the Inaugural Executive Director Youth Services Bureau, Ottawa, ON. In 1966 he served as Ottawa City Councillor for Carleton Ward. In 1968-1978 he was the Inaugural Director Social Planning and Community Development -Vancouver, BC. In 1973 he moved to Sechelt BC and was still living there in 2020. |
