Military Service
As a Lieutenant USCG he commanded the USCGC Spar when she travelled as part of a a Coast Guard Squadron (Storis, Spar and Bramble), in a West to East Transit of the Northwest Passage (They were the first US Vessels to Transit the Northwest Passage).
