Biography
In 1951 he attended the University of Toronto (Dentistry). In 1954 he transferred to the Queens University Medical School. While studying at the three universities, during the summer when training with the military, he worked as a commercial bush pilot in Ontario, Quebec, Labrador and Newfoundland. He worked at the Ottawa Civic Hospital (undergraduate internship). He worked at Montreal General Hospital (Interned as MED/CO). He continued his medical practice until his retirement while also operating a small beef farm and a small airline.
 
Military Service
In 1944 he served in the RCAF. He entered the British Commonwealth Air Training Program, was selected for pilot training but had not completed his training to the end of the war. In 1947 while attending McGill U enrolled in the RCAFT University Air Training Program. In 1948 he served in RCAF Station Centralia. In 1949 he joined 438 Fighter Squadron (City of Montreal Squadron) September. Transferred to 411 Fighter Squadron (County of York Squadron) in September 1951. (Transferred to RCN(R) 09/1954). In 1954 he served in HMCS Cataraqui for VC 921 Squadron. (Transferred to RCAF serving at RCAF Station Uplands - spring 1957) Attached to # 1Overseas Ferry Unit then posted to # 1 Operational Training Unit at Chatham, New Brunswick – summer 1957. In 1958-1959 he served at RCAF Station St. Hubert. In 1959 he served with NATO to # 2 Fighter Wing in Grostenquin, France, later to # 4 Fighter Wing at Baden, Germany. He served as MED/MO and as Flight Surgeon to: 444 Fighter Squadron, 433 Fighter Squadron, 419 Fighter Squadron. He served in RCAF Maritime Headquarters, Halifax, one year as MED/CO at HMCS STADACONA and one year at Victoria General Hospital in Halifax – 1963-1965. Transferred from the RCAF (Regular) to the reserve list with the rank of Squadron Leader and entered private practice - 1965
